简介：This standard specifies the minimum technical requirements for the extruded polyethylene coating and the field joint coating of radiation crosslinked polyethylene heat shrinkable tape(sleeve)of steel pipes.

This standard is applicable to the design,production and inspection of extruded polyethylene coating of buried steel pipelines,and the design,application and inspection of field joint coating.The extru-ded polyethylene coating of pipeline using other laying methods can refer to this standard.

There are two types of extruded polyethylene coating:Normal temperature type(N)-maximum de-sign temperature does not exceed 60℃,High temperature type(H)-maximum design temperature does not exceed 80℃.
